Sho

Sho is a proud graduate of Mount Mercy University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in international management with a minor in Spanish. He later completed his MBA at Mount Mercy University and is currently entering his second year in the Marriage and Family Therapy program.

In addition to his academic training, Sho brings over 15 seasons of coaching experience across youth, high school, and collegiate soccer. Through coaching, he has developed a deep appreciation for the power of relationships, resilience, and personal growth. Working with athletes, students, and young adults has provided him with valuable experience supporting individuals through challenges, transitions, and goal-setting both on and off the field.

Sho believes that healing and change occur when individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves while being supported by healthy relationships and environments. His coaching experience reinforced the belief that people do not exist in isolation. Just as a team is influenced by its culture, relationships, and environment, individuals are often shaped by the systems around them. This perspective contributes to his interest in systemic thinking and Structural Family Therapy.

Sho strives to create a therapeutic space that is collaborative, compassionate, and nonjudgmental, where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and move toward their goals. He is particularly interested in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and enjoys helping clients identify patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. He also values the role of humor in therapy, using it thoughtfully to foster connection, authenticity, and comfort within the therapeutic relationship.

In his free time, Sho enjoys staying active through running, pickleball, golf, sand volleyball, soccer, and CrossFit. Maintaining an active lifestyle helps him stay grounded, balanced, and fully present for the clients he serves.
