Sheena (She/They)

"We’re all capable of the most incredible change. We can evolve while still staying true to who we are. We can honor who we’ve been and choose who we want to be next. Now’s your chance.” The Thirteenth Doctor, The Woman Who Fell to Earth

Sheena graduated from Mount Mercy University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. Her journey into the field has been shaped through experiences working with individuals, couples, children, and families in various settings, including the education system, community mental health, and providing direct care.

At the heart of Sheena’s approach is a deep belief in authentic connection and the sustaining power of hope. She strives to create a space that is collaborative and rooted in curiosity, where clients can feel safe, heard, and free to be their full selves. She believes that everyone has the capacity for growth and is honored to walk alongside clients on their unique paths of self-discovery.

As a therapist, Sheena values inclusivity, cultural humility, and authenticity. She is particularly interested in supporting clients as they face life transitions, heal from grief and trauma, and explore neurodivergent perspectives. Working from a systemic and strengths-based perspective, she helps clients explore their stories and facilitate transformation. With humor, empathy, and compassion, she supports them through life’s challenges, recognizing that healing often comes from being seen and accepted, and that laughter can be just as powerful as tears in the process of growth.

Outside the therapy room, Sheena enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and cat (Vader). She also enjoys attending flea markets, Renaissance fairs, and pop culture conventions.
