Mackenzie (She/Her/Hers)
Originally from Cedar Rapids, Mackenzie earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Iowa and is now pursuing a masters degree in Marriage and Family therapy at Mount Mercy University. From a young age, she knew she wanted to become a therapist. Her passion lies in connecting with people on a deep, authentic level—she has always found joy in listening to individuals' unique lived experiences and has found great fulfillment in witnessing personal growth and transformation.
Mackenzie approaches therapy with the belief that no two people are the same, and therefore, everyone’s process in the therapy room will look different. She strives to create a warm and compassionate safe space for everyone, where clients feel encouraged to show up as their true selves. Whether you're seeking support through a difficult time, navigating a major life transition, or simply needing someone to listen, Mackenzie is here to walk alongside you on your journey.
Her therapeutic style leans toward a collaborative and systemic approach, aiming to foster meaningful relationships and empower clients to take an active role in their healing. Mackenzie enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life, and is deeply committed to offering care that is compassionate, personalized, and nonjudgmental.
Outside of the therapy room, Mackenzie enjoys staying active, adventuring outdoors, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and curling up with a good book.
