Logan
Logan graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in Applied Human Services. He bounced around haphazardly through a variety of career fields before deciding at the start of his 30s that it was time to go back to school. Driven by a deep desire to help others, he has found great success and passion in the field of therapy at MMU.
As a student therapist, Logan believes strongly that all people have value and are deserving of respect and autonomy in their lives. He strives to create a space with kindness and compassion where clients can be their most authentic selves so they can access the deepest parts of themselves. Always quick with a smile or laugh, Logan believes in the healing power of laughter and tries to make the therapy room a space that people enjoy coming to no matter how hard it may be at times. Logan takes a collaborative approach to therapy viewing clients as the experts in their own lives and working with them as partners in exploring their lives for meaning. For clients hoping for a little more direction, Logan also enjoys exploring issues that are bringing them to therapy and helping them develop strategies and solutions that can help them address those issues directly.
In his free time, you can often find Logan playing video games (all kinds), reading a good fantasy book, enjoying a good movie, or watching far too much YouTube. Though he isn’t a big fan of Iowa summers, you can also find him at the golf course when weather permits. He and his wife had the great joy of welcoming their first child into the world in May of 2025 and are flying by the seat of their pants as they figure out how to be good parents. They also house a small zoo of three cats and two miniature dachshunds.
