Kira (She/Her/Hers)

“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” ~ Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Kira graduated from Siena Heights University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Criminal Justice minor. Her professional background includes research in the correlation of Adverse Childhood Experiences and Sex Addiction, and working in retail and food service.

Kira has always wanted to help people, which led to her interest in therapy and work with those who are on their journey of healing.

Kira welcomes an open, safe space that is free from judgement. She allows for open expression and encourages all individuals to come into the therapy space. Therapy can be challenging, but Kira strives to make sure that individuals will feel kindness, respect, empathy, and the ability to create a journey of growth and healing. She also encourages humor and being yourself in the therapy space. She is dedicated to make sure that individuals feel included in many ways, and she is prepared to join you on your journey.

When she’s not in the therapy room, Kira enjoys spending time with her cats (Salt, Pepper, Roo, and Rose), family, and friends. She enjoys playing guitar, taking walks in the woods and parks, and traveling to new places. She also enjoys studying new things, including religion/spiritual practices, anything true crime or psychology, and many other things.
