“I choose to break any patterns that are holding me back from living my best life possible. I choose to release any limitations I have placed on myself. I honor myself. I honor my journey. I trust the flow of life... I see each new phase as a new opportunity to learn more about myself.” - Samantha Moultrup, The Soul Therapist.com

Jessica graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation and an art minor. Her career highlights include assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities, brain injury, autism spectrum disorder, along with adults with mental health concerns in various capacities: Supported community living, day habilitation, vocational (supported employment and occupational skills training) as a QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional) throughout her career. Most recently, is a case manager assisting adults, children, and families under waiver services in a managed care organization. She also obtained her Certification for Qualified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner helping individuals reach goals in the living, working, learning and social environments of life.

Her passion is working with people over the entire lifespan within their personal intersectionality, creating a safe space for all, assisting in navigating the challenges life may present in our internal and external worlds. She is an advocate for mental health to decrease the stigma around obtaining support, whether short-term or long-term maintenance therapy services. She encourages Therapist/Client collaboration in therapy to determine interventions that best serve the individual, couple dynamic, or family system, creating a safe environment to foster resilience, self-confidence, and the inter-dependence within our life systems. Outside of the Olson Clinic, Jessica enjoys spending time with her children, significant other, and her two cats. She also enjoys fostering an environment of creativity with painting, gardening, poetry, music, and diamond art paintings. Jessica looks forward to helping individuals, couples, and families in all aspects of their life journey. You are not alone in this.
