Challenges in life can be important sources of growth and change. Harper sees therapy as one opportunity to face those challenges together and develop new, more satisfying ways of being and relating. She works with an understanding that our identities, environments, and past experiences affect our lives in the present. Harper joins with clients to understand the stories and experiences that shape their lives so they can make choices that are right for them. She strives to practice with humility, acceptance, and curiosity and welcomes conversation about what can make therapy more helpful.
Harper has a BA and an MA in Comparative Literature. She brings her interests in narratives, history, language, patterns, social justice, and relationships to her clinical work. She also has experience working with people who are thinking of suicide and in other kinds of crisis. She believes culturally sensitive, high-quality therapy should be accessible to all those who want it, and she is eager to work with people facing all kinds of challenges. Harper is honored to join with you in the difficult—and rewarding—work of change.
