Gillian

Gillian is a University of Iowa graduate with a BS in Neuroscience and minors in Psychology and Chemistry. Her professional experience includes nearly a decade of work experience in the medical field in both clinical and hospital settings, where she worked closely with care teams and patients. She deeply feels that reaching out for help is a brave and challenging step that is worth taking. Therapy is for everyone!

Gillian’s approach to therapy is collaborative- she seeks to explore and identify interventions that work best for you as an individual. She creates a therapeutic space that is open, warm, and inviting to people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs, and deeply values your personal experiences and the roles they play in your life today. Gillian believes the therapeutic relationship is central in walking beside you on your healing journey and meeting you where you are.

Gillian understands that therapy is a vulnerable experience, and her goal is to welcome you with compassion and understanding. She believes that through the creation of a safe therapeutic space, that you can identify personal goals for growth and healing (and reach them!). She approaches each client with openness and a passion for establishing rapport with each person she meets.

In her free time, Gillian enjoys spending time with her partner and friends, cuddling with her cats, coloring, and working on DIY projects around the house. As an East-Coast native, she also enjoys traveling home to visit her family when she can.

Gillian is humbled and honored to walk with you through this journey of healing and self-discovery.
