Cherisse graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Mental Health. Upon graduation she worked within the social work field supporting foster and adoptive families. At an early age, she wanted to help others and becoming a therapist was a natural fit. Cherisse has developed an interest in human connections, behavior, relationships and has been working towards a career to become a therapist. The MFT program at Mount Mercy is helping her dive into her interests and is providing a healthy way to help others.
Cherisse is a helpful, caring, and loving person. Your experiences, opinions, values, and voice deserve to be heard and given space for. As you share your experiences and grow with her, she is honored to be able to listen and learn during this collaborative process.
Outside of the Olson Clinc, Cherisse enjoys spending time outside, being active, playing sudoku, listening to music, and watching crime shows. She has a young child of her own who she spends a lot of her free time with.
