Tiara graduated from Mount Mercy University with a B.A. in Psychology and Criminal Justice. During her time in her undergraduate schooling, Tiara interned with a local law fir and completed her training in Mediation. As she continued to work in the world of law and mediation, Tiara found herself dedicated to seeing the systemic concerns within families and found her passion towards Marriage and Family Therapy. As a Mexican-American woman herself and a child an immigrant parent, Tiara has a unique view of the impacts of cultures and the unique influences culture has on a family system and the individual.
Tiara is rooted in systems thinking, valuing and acknowledging societal impacts on individuals lives and their relationships. As a student therapist, Tiara is committed to working with clients collaboratively and recognizes all individuals’ unique lived experiences and cultures. Tiara welcomes everyone with kindness, empathy, and genuineness and offers an environment for her clients to show up as their true authentic selves. She is committed to empowering clients while also offering challenges that promote growth. Tiara looks forward to meeting with any and all individuals and to work with any and all obstacles that comes in our crazy, unique lives.
Tiara enjoys spending time with her family back home and loves playing soccer and basketball. In her free time, you can find Tiara outdoors and gets any chance she can to work outside, go for a walk, or play a sport!
