Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in psychology at Iowa State University, with an additional minor in criminal justice studies. She decided to pursue her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy to help others heal from past experiences and improve their daily lives. Sarah has experience working with children of all ages in residential treatment facilities, doing research for the Family Transitions Project, as well as working with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Her hope as a student therapist is to create a non-judgmental environment for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. Outside of the clinic, Sarah enjoys watching and reading science fiction, playing video games, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with her cat.
