“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands but seeing with new eyes.”
- Marcel Proust
Prior to entering the Marriage & Family Therapy program at Mount Mercy, Leah worked in the Human Services field for many years with a focus on disability and aging. Along the way she obtained a BS in Human Services from Upper Iowa University and an MSL from Mt Mercy University. Personal and professional experiences with the disability community shaped her understanding of diversity and the impact of systems.
As a person and a student therapist Leah is most passionate about helping others tap into their strengths and gain insight into the challenges that are inevitably part of our human condition. It’s her privilege to help you shine a curious and compassionate light on your life and relationships. Leah is committed to holding a welcoming and accepting space for you.
In her personal time, she most enjoys hanging out with her beautiful blended family. She also finds great joy in plants, podcasts and well-curated playlists.
To schedule an appointment with Leah, please call the Olson MFT Clinic at 319-368-6493.
