“We don't have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to.”― Brené Brown
Laura Anderson is a student therapist and understands that life is full of challenges. Laura has a passion to help people experience clarity and confidence through empathy and compassion. It is Laura’s goal to help individuals, couples, and families to live a life feeling connected, having hope, and being empowered. People are resilient. Sometimes they just need a little help to believe that.
Laura graduated from Western Illinois University with a double major in Social Work and Law Enforcement Administration. She has enjoyed working in the human service field for over 15 years. Laura has experience working with people who have endured natural disasters (the Cedar Rapids flood of 2008), substance abuse, and families in crisis. Her experience working with individuals and families in community-based programs and residential programs has given her valuable insight into the challenges many face in our community.
When she is not pursuing her master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, Laura enjoys spending time with her family. She like to be outdoors in the fresh air, digital scrapbooking, and reading.
