Kellee graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She spent time working at the Abbe Center for Community Care and worked at an elementary school as a student support associate for the level 2/3 special needs program. Her background has given her a unique perspective on many of life's difficulties such as mental health struggles, financial stressors, relationship dynamics, and loss. These experiences led Kellee to the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Mount Mercy University where she continues to work with those healing at a systemic level. Her experience has taught her the importance of connection with others, diversity, finding balance, and providing grace to ourselves.   

  

As a student therapist, Kellee considers herself a life-long learner and recognizes that the most valuable learning often comes from genuine human interaction. Kellee prioritizes the therapeutic relationship to guide and strengthen our natural abilities for change, healing, and resilience. She is committed to being curious, open, honest, and creating a warm environment that is free of judgement. Kellee hopes to assist others in their journey to heal, grow, and live authentically.  Kellee believes that it takes courage to want to explore your experiences with another person and feels honored to be able to have the opportunity to do that with you.  

 

Outside of the clinic, Kellee enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her children’s activities. Kellee loves animals, swimming, and listening to music.
