She has developed an interest in human connection, behavior, relationships and has been working towards a career to become a therapist. This passion has increased while working with children for the past 6 years. Within this realm, Katie has a passion for viewing how systems influence one another, displays interests in attachment and differentiation, childhood trauma, parenting and stages of life cycles.

Your experiences, opinions, values and voice deserve to be heard and given space for. As you are sharing your experiences and growing with her, she is honored to be able to listen and grow from you during this collaborative process. Her goal as a student therapist is to approach therapy through scientific based approaches by exploring different realms of each client including exploring missed opportunities, current stressors, and life experiences. Katie recognizes the challenge in navigating through areas of distress and discomfort and wants to ensure you have a safe space to feel as you are to explore vulnerability without judgment. Life is full of opportunities, curiosities, hardships and challenges that each person has the potential to explore and grow. As a student therapist, Katie believes in seeking to meet the needs of each individual through internal and external sources. She is excited to learn more from a diverse range of individuals within all stages of life, value systems, backgrounds and economic statuses. As a student therapist, she strives to advocate for her clients, to listen deeply to each voice, learn, grow and think intently by being fully present within sessions. She is committed to being honest while displaying empathy. She believes in the mind-body connection, grounding exercises, creating boundaries and healing.

Katie enjoys spending time with her dogs, family and significant other. She enjoys gardening, going to farmers markets, organizing, spending time on the water, watching funny videos and focusing on self care.
