“There is an innocence in admiration: it occurs in one who has not yet realized that they might one day be admired.”- Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche.

Jyothi, who likes to be called Jo, began her journey with an MBA in Human Resources, leading to a fulfilling career in the corporate world. However, her passion for understanding human behavior and her desire for personal growth eventually guided her to pursue a new path in Marriage and Family Therapy at Mount Mercy University.

Growing up, she was always intrigued by the complexities of human nature and the quest for self-understanding—why we are the way we are. This curiosity has been the driving force behind her professional and personal development. Inspired by Friedrich Nietzsche's perspective on admiration, she believes in the power of discovering and celebrating own strengths. In therapy, her approach focuses on uncovering these strengths, helping individuals harness them to overcome life's challenges with resilience and self-assurance.

Her multicultural background and experiences as an immigrant provide her with an understanding of cultural diversity and the challenges associated with cultural adaptation. She is committed to providing culturally sensitive therapy and supporting clients from diverse backgrounds. She understands the nuances of identity, belonging, and cultural integration, and aims to help clients navigate these complexities with empathy and insight.

Outside of her professional work, she finds peace in spending time in parks with her kids, meditation, enjoys taking refreshing walks in nature, and indulges in long drives and cooking. She also loves exploring spiritual documentaries that inspire deeper reflections on life and purpose.
