Heidi’s education and experience include a Bachelor of Science degree in Youth Leadership and Non-profit Management and related field work, followed by 15 years as a full-time household Chief Operations Officer and confidant for her 6 children. Her background has afforded her a deeper understanding of many of life’s challenges such as loss, mental health struggles, financial stressors, relationship dynamics, and more. In addition, she cherishes the time she has spent immersed in various cultures and truly embraces and enjoys the beauty and diversity of humankind.
As a student therapist, Heidi considers herself a life-long learner and recognizes that the most valuable learning often comes from genuine human interaction. Her core values of trust and understanding guide her belief that no matter where a person comes from or what they bring to the room, individuality can be discovered, and relationships can flourish with safety and balance. Heidi views change as possible and people as capable and strong at their core. She sees beauty in brokenness and strives to work alongside her clients so that they can feel empowered in the path toward healing that speaks to them, and in finding joy in the human experience.
If you ask her children, they’d say that in her free time she loves to be weird. Heidi would add that she also loves to go on adventures with her family or clean while listening to a great book. She de-stresses by kickboxing at the gym, taking long walks with her dogs, or sneaking off to get fast food all by herself.
