“I now see how owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do.” ― Brené Brown
Elizabeth graduated from Mount Mercy with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Elizabeth has always had a strong passion for psychology and finding mind-body balance to mental health. She became a domestic violence advocate as well as provided service work through a support program and realized she wanted to do similar work for others and be more involved in the community full time. Her experience has taught her the importance of connection with others, diversity, finding balance and providing grace to ourselves. This led Elizabeth to the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Mount Mercy University where she can continue to work with those healing at a systemic level.
Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and she understands everyone will be at their own pace as they work through change, transitions and getting through past and present traumas. Elizabeth hopes to assist others in their journey to heal, grow, and live authentically. Reaching out for help can be difficult and she strives to provide an environment that is safe, accepting and collaborative. She believes that every individual possesses the strength for personal growth and healing. As a student therapist Elizabeth is committed to working with clients from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.
When Elizabeth isn’t studying for class and working, she enjoys spending time with her children and friends, photography, gardening, reading, running, and traveling.
