Hi there, my name is Pete and I am a student therapist at the Olson Clinic, thank you for visiting my page and considering working with me. I believe therapy works best with a non-judgmental, collaborative approach and work hard to ensure my clients feel heard, understood, cared for, and safe through the therapeutic process.
I have an interest in working with all types of populations including adults, adolescents, and couples and have a special interest in social justice concerns such as race, class, gender, employment, and LGBTQ issues. I also have an interest in working with individuals that have been affected by the criminal justice or prison system.
In my downtime, I enjoy chasing my three young children, coaching youth sports, rock music, and watching baseball. During undergraduate, I was fortunate enough to study English at the University of Iowa under the legendary author James Alan MacPherson, a process that gave me a passion for stories and the people who tell them. I would be honored if you would share your stories with me.
